Massage Therapists
Carmela brings a gentle yet firm intuitive touch, pinpointing knots and releasing underlying myofascial tension for very therapeutic results. Certified in 2009 from Associates of Integrative Health in Bloomington, In. Additional training in Levels I & II CranioSacral Therapy, Level 1, 2 & 3 ELDOA. Techniques include Assisted Stretching, CranioSacral Therapy, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Sports, Swedish, and Trigger Point Therapy.
Mary has a gentle deep approach that eases tension and discomfort while restoring balance. Graduated from a 500 hour course at Associates of Integrative Health in Bloomington. Certified in 2002. Styles and techniques include Acupressure, Assisted Stretching, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, "Gentle" Deep Tissue, Hot Stone Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Polarity Therapy (certified), Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, Swedish Massage and Trigger Point Therapy.
Rachelle studied in the somatic approach to massage therapy which, along with her intuitive and calm nature, allows her to offer a blend of client-centered healing modalities. Graduated from a 660 hour course at BTI (Body Therapy Institute) in North Carolina. She received her massage therapy certification in 2016. Styles and techniques include Healing Touch, Prenatal Massage, Reiki, Biodynamic Cranialsacral Therapy (Level 1) and Swedish.
Utilizes deep tissue techniques, including trigger point therapy & training in Shiatsu to address injuries and pain. She considers the body from all four dimensions, considering all the muscles and movements. Her training in Thai massage gives her a variety of positions to help clients stretch muscles and achieve greater mobility. 1323 hrs East West program in Therapeutic massage and Shiatsu Anma from Centerpoint Massage and Shiatsu in Minneapolis & 72 hrs of training in Thai Yoga.
Kara considers herself an intuitive massage therapist. Her approach is slow, informed, and deliberate, following the pattern of breath she encourages at the beginning of each session. A graduate of Harrison College in 2017, Kara earned an Associates of Applied Science in Therapeutic and Clinical Massage and is a Certified Prenatal Massage Therapist. Techniques include Assisted Stretching, Chakra Balancing, Deep Tissue, Hot Stones, Myofascial Release, Prenatal, Reiki, Sports, and Swedish.
Neci is welcoming and intuitive, integrating firmness and softness within massage. Neci utilizes the power of holding space and listening to the needs of each individual to create a therapeutic foothold on the path of body awareness, healing and happiness. Completed 650 hours at Ivy Tech in the Spring of 2021. Styles and techniques include, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Joint mobilization, Assisted Stretching and Prenatal Massage.
Samantha is attentive and thorough. Her massage and bodywork begins with an informed consultation with each client. Each appointment is tailored to the clients' needs. Graduated Ivy Tech Community College in 2017 where she completed a 650 hour program. She received a certification in Therapeutic Massage. Cinnamon offers a mix of dynamics technically and energetically. When there is a need for restoring the mind-body to tranquility, the movements are of waters and lakes in the sunset: warm, slow, safe and reassuring. When there is a need for tissue healing, a more energetic wave of movements might be applied. Completed 650 hours at Ivy Tech in the fall of 2021. Thai Yoga Massage levels 1 & 2 Styles and techniques include, Thai, Swedish, Myofascial, Mobility, and Athletic Stretching.

Deanna Greene is a student at Ivy Tech in the Massage Therapy program. She works in our office on Tuesdays, and, every other Saturday, Deanna is our very own in-house nail technician! From her homemade, all natural sugar scrubs to her fume-free, non-toxic gel nail polish or dipped powder nail sets, you'll love the calm, spa-like experience as much as you love your perfectly-polished nails.

Maggie Held is an experienced fitness instructor who is certified to teach several types of classes including yoga, pilates, martial arts, and barre. Maggie started her own company, Java Yoga, in 2011, and she continues to work closely with the Cardinal Stage Company and Bloomington Playwright Project to pursue her love of theater. She is currently offering her newest fitness class, Piloxing, exclusively at the Bodyworks Studio.
Carmela has dived into teaching ELDOA, a mobility and posture exercise aimed at strengthening and opening up the spine. Certified Level 3 ELDOA Student-Practitioner
Neci found yoga in 2017 to help her back pain, and absolutely fell in love with the practice. She completed her 200 hour training at Vibe Yoga studio in 2018. She is currently working on completing 500 hours of YTT, has a special interest in Yin yoga, human anatomy and how our bodies move. Neci loves the affect stepping onto her mat has on her mind, body & spirit and wants to share the light of yoga with everyone!
